Full Job Description
Hedge School of Applied Economics is hiring an Academic Counsellor to guide prospective students in choosing the right course and career path, manage admission enquiries, and support them through the enrolment process. You’ll be the primary point of contact for students and parents from first enquiry to admission.
Responsibilities
• Counsel prospective students on courses, curriculum, and career outcomes
• Handle inbound and outbound admission enquiries
• Follow up on leads via calls, WhatsApp, and email
• Guide students through the enrolment process and convert enquiries into admissions
• Build long-term relationships with students and parents
• Maintain accurate enquiry and admission records in CRM/Excel
• Coordinate with the admissions and academic teams
• Achieve monthly admission and revenue targets
• Represent the institution at education fairs, seminars, and counselling sessions
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
• 1–3 years’ experience in academic counselling, admissions, or education sales (freshers with strong communication skills welcome)
• Fluent in English and Malayalam
• Strong counselling, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
• Comfortable with MS Office and CRM tools
• Target-driven and self-motivated
