Role Description The Academic Counsellor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru South. The Academic Counsellor will guide prospective and current learners in selecting suitable courses and career paths across technology domains such as Python, Data Science, Generative AI, Cloud, and enterprise platforms. Day-to-day tasks include conducting counselling sessions, explaining program structures and outcomes, assessing learner interests and skills, and recommending appropriate learning plans. The role involves following up with enquiries, maintaining accurate records of interactions, coordinating with training and operations teams, and supporting learners throughout their training journey to improve engagement and completion rates. The Academic Counsellor will also contribute to awareness activities, such as information sessions and outreach, to ensure learners are well-informed and supported.
Qualifications
- Ability to understand and explain programs related to Python, Data Science, Generative AI, Data Engineering, Cloud (Azure, AWS), DevOps, SAP modules, Power Platform, Oracle Fusion, and VMware.
- Strong counselling and advisory skills, including learner needs assessment, guidance on career pathways, and goal-setting support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact respectfully and effectively with diverse learners and stakeholders.
- Organizational and administrative skills for managing enquiries, maintaining learner records, and coordinating with internal teams.
- Comfort with digital tools and online platforms for scheduling, documentation, and basic data tracking.
- Prior experience in academic counselling, student support, training coordination, or education services is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; education, psychology, human resources, or management is preferred but not mandatory.
- Commitment to learner success, ethical counselling practices, and a supportive, non-discriminatory approach.
