Role Description The Academic Counsellor role at AchieversIT Academy is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The Academic Counsellor will guide prospective and current learners in selecting suitable courses and training programs aligned with their academic background and career goals. Daily responsibilities include conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, explaining program details, assisting with admissions decisions, and maintaining accurate records of student interactions. The role also involves coordinating with trainers and administrative teams, supporting learners with academic planning, and following up to ensure student satisfaction and retention. The Academic Counsellor will communicate regularly with learners and guardians, provide information on career pathways, and contribute to continuous improvement of counseling processes.
Qualifications
- Strong student counseling and academic advising skills to support learners in making informed educational decisions.
- Career counseling and education-related expertise to guide learners on training choices and future job opportunities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear, empathetic, and professional interaction with learners and stakeholders.
- Ability to build rapport, listen actively, and handle queries with patience and problem-solving mindset.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, Management, or a related field; relevant certifications are an advantage.
- Prior experience in academic counseling, training institutes, or education services is preferred.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and CRM or student management systems.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
