Academic Counsellor – Finance Programs (Admissions & Sales)

Role Overview
IFC Ventures Pvt. Ltd. is hiring on behalf of its client, Boston Institute of Analytics (BIA), a fast-growing EdTech institution specializing in finance and investment banking education.
We are looking for a results-driven academic counsellor / inside sales executive with prior experience in selling finance certification or investment banking programs. This is a B2C admissions sales role focused on guiding aspiring finance professionals and converting qualified leads into enrollments through structured counseling and consultative selling.
The role involves working with high-intent student inquiries and helping candidates choose the right certification pathway aligned with their career goals.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Handling & Qualification
- Manage inbound and outbound leads for finance certification programs, including CFA, FRM, Investment Banking, US CPA, and CMA.
- Evaluate prospects based on academic background, experience, and career objectives.
- Identify candidate suitability for finance roles such as investment banking, risk management, corporate finance, equity research, and accounting.
- Maintain structured follow-up cycles to nurture and convert leads.
Academic Counseling & Admissions
- Conduct telephonic, video (Zoom), and in-person counseling sessions.
- Explain program structure, certification pathways, exam levels, timelines, and learning outcomes.
- Guide students on finance career opportunities, industry demand, and growth prospects.
- Handle objections related to fees, ROI, preparation difficulty, and career outcomes.
- Manage the full admissions journey:
- Inquiry → Counseling → Follow-ups → Enrollment
CRM & Follow-Up Management
- Maintain accurate lead records and follow-up updates in CRM systems.
- Execute consistent follow-ups via calls, email, and messaging platforms.
- Track counseling activities, conversions, and enrollment performance.
Targets & Revenue Ownership
- Achieve monthly admissions and revenue targets.
- Collaborate with academic and operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding and student experience.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in EdTech sales, admissions counseling, or inside sales.
- Prior experience selling finance certification or professional upskilling programs preferred.
- Exposure to B2C education sales and lead conversion environments.
Skills
- Strong English communication and counseling ability.
- Target-oriented mindset with strong objection-handling and closing skills.
- Comfortable working with CRM tools and sales tracking systems.
- Ability to build trust with students and working professionals pursuing finance careers.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, marketing, or a related field.
- Exposure to finance certifications or the investment banking ecosystem is an advantage.
Compensation & Training Structure
Selected candidates will undergo a structured onboarding and training period to align with program knowledge, counseling processes, and admissions workflows.
