About the role
The Academic Coordinator will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of academic operations. The role involves collaborating with faculty, students, and administrative teams to facilitate an effective learning environment. This position requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage dynamic workflows.
Specifically, this role will involve
- Coordinate daily academic operations, including classroom arrangements, IT setups, and logistics for faculty and students.
- Manage and update the Learning Management System (LMS) by creating courses, uploading materials, and maintaining schedules.
- Take and track attendance, including managing exemptions such as medical leaves.
- Address and resolve student and faculty queries in a timely manner, maintaining a 24-hour turnaround time (TAT).
- Ensure class recordings are downloaded, uploaded, and organized on the LMS for easy accessibility.
- Maintain discipline during classes and assist with resolving any on-the-spot issues such as IT or facility-related concerns.
- Coordinate assignments, including creating, uploading, and compiling submissions for faculty review.
- Liaise with the admin team for logistical arrangements, including parking, food, stationery, and other operational needs.
- Support examination logistics, including room bookings, scheduling, and coordinating with stakeholders.
- Keep records updated, including attendance sheets, leave trackers, assignment evaluations, and course performance data.
- Maintain an open line of communication with students and faculty to proactively address concerns and provide support.
Ideal candidate will have
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, or related fields.
- 1-3 years of experience in academic operations or related roles.
- Proficiency in Learning Management Systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage large datasets and operational details with precision.
- Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate with diverse stakeholders.
