Job Summary
The Academic Coordinator is responsible for coordinating academic activities, ensuring smooth communication between students, faculty, and management, and maintaining accurate academic records. The role involves monitoring attendance, managing student communication groups, collecting feedback, and supporting overall academic operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Academic Coordination
- Coordinate daily academic activities and ensure smooth execution of classes.
- Communicate with faculty regarding schedule updates, class changes, and academic requirements.
- Inform students about timetable changes, announcements, and academic updates.
2. Attendance Management
- Monitor and maintain student attendance records.
- Track absentee students and make follow-up calls to understand the reason for absence.
- Prepare weekly reports of absent students and share them with management.
3. Student Communication
- Create and manage student communication groups (WhatsApp/online platforms).
- Share important announcements, class instructions, and academic updates with students.
- Ensure students receive timely information regarding classes, exams, and schedules.
4. Feedback & Student Support
- Collect student feedback forms regarding classes and faculty.
- Maintain records of feedback and share insights with the academic team.
- Address basic student concerns and escalate issues to the Academic Head when required.
5. Academic Records & Documentation
- Maintain academic records including attendance, results, and course progress.
- Update results and academic service details in the system or database.
- Ensure proper documentation of academic activities and student records.
Required Skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and coordination abilities
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, Google Sheets, email)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain records accurately
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline (Education or Management preferred).
Experience
- 6 month–2 years of experience in academic coordination, education administration, or student management roles is preferred.(ACCA,CMA preferred)
