About the Position:
CEPT established the School of Building Science and Technology (SBST) in 1982 that focuses on issues concerning the construction & management of human habitats and cities. SBST has now been renamed as Faculty of Technology (FT). FT offers a five years’ honors undergraduate program in Civil engineering and multiple two-years’ Postgraduate programs in Construction Engineering & Management, Structural Engineering Design, and Building Energy Performance.
CEPT University invites applications for Academic Associate (Full time) position for Master in Structural Engineering Design and Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering. The position is suited for academics, researchers and practicing professionals who are keen to seriously engage with teaching and research at CEPT.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- All academic associates at CEPT University will be engaged in a combination of Teaching, Research and Institutional work.
- To contribute to the collegial environment at the University and to further its mission in the pursuit of excellence.
- To assist the MSED/BCE Program Chairs and faculty members for Studios and mandatory courses in terms of coordination, formulation and evaluation of assignments and to guide students in meeting submission requirements.
- To assist faculty members in organizing expert lectures, site visits and other academic activities.
- To support the communication initiatives of the program through management of social media–related work.
Minimum Eligibility Criteria:
- Master’s degree in in Structural Engineering or Structural Design
- Minimum 3 years of post-educational experience is required
Expertise Required:
- Should have sound knowledge of Structural Analysis, IS standards for designing the structures, STAAD, ETABS, SAFE, AutoCAD
- Should have knowledge of laboratory testing and experimentation.
- Should be able to write technical reports
- Should be fluent in English.
