Role Description The Academic Advisor – International will provide guidance to students exploring global education opportunities, helping them select suitable courses, universities, and countries based on academic background, interests, and career aspirations. This full-time, on-site role in Aluva involves conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, reviewing student profiles, and recommending pathways for undergraduate and graduate programs abroad. The advisor will assist with scholarship options, standardized test planning, application timelines, and documentation requirements, ensuring students are well-prepared for each step. Daily responsibilities include maintaining accurate student records, coordinating with internal teams, participating in outreach activities, and staying up to date with international education trends, admission criteria, and visa guidelines. The role also requires clear communication with students and families, delivering information sessions and workshops when needed.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Student Counseling and Academic Advising skills to support learners in course, university, and country selection.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to interact with students, families, and institutional partners clearly and professionally.
- Candidates should possess Career Counseling and Education-related knowledge to align academic choices with long-term career pathways.
- Relevant experience in international education consulting, university admissions, or academic advising is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work in a structured, student-centered environment with attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field; a master’s degree is an advantage.
- Familiarity with major global education destinations, admission requirements, and scholarship opportunities is preferred.
- Proficiency in using digital tools and CRM systems for student data management and follow-up tracking.
