Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Academic Advisor, based in Thiruvananthapuram. The Academic Advisor will assist students in making informed educational and career decisions, provide academic counseling, and guide them through course selections and educational planning. They will conduct one-on-one and group advising sessions, offer insights on academic goals, and facilitate communication between students, educators, and families to optimize the learning journey. The role also involves staying updated on current trends and resources in education to enhance student outcomes.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Student Counseling and Academic Advising to support students in making informed educational and personal decisions.
- Strong Communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and educators, ensuring clarity and understanding.
- Experience in Career Counseling to help students align their academic choices with future career aspirations.
- Knowledge of Education systems and academic programs to guide students in selecting courses and pathways that fit their goals.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, adaptability, and a passion for supporting students’ growth and development.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field is preferred.
