Role Description The Academic Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This role involves providing guidance to students on academic pathways, course selection, and educational planning aligned with their goals. The Academic Advisor will conduct one-on-one counseling sessions, support career exploration, and help learners understand available academic resources and opportunities. The role includes maintaining accurate advising records, collaborating with internal teams to enhance student support services, and organizing informational sessions or workshops. The advisor will also monitor student progress, identify challenges, and recommend appropriate interventions to promote academic success.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Student Counseling and Career Counseling skills to support learners in setting and achieving academic and professional goals.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to interact clearly and empathetically with students, families, and colleagues.
- Candidates should possess Academic Advising and Education-related skills to guide course selection, program requirements, and long-term learning pathways.
- Relevant experience in academic advising, student support services, or education administration is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
- Ability to work with diverse student populations, maintain confidentiality, and use basic computer and educational software tools.
