Role Purpose
The Academic Admin responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring, and driving academic, administrative, discipline, and student development processes.
This is to act as the central point of coordination between students, faculty, ABIs/JBIs, HODs, placement, administration, and leadership, ensuring smooth execution and measurable student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Academic Planning & Execution
- Own the batch academic calendar, timetable, and session planning.
- Coordinate with HODs and faculty for course allocation and session plans.
- Ensure timely execution of the academic plan with minimal deviation.
- Communicate AOL, PO/CO, evaluation structures, and academic expectations to students.
- Monitor planned vs. actual academic delivery.
2. Discipline & Student Engagement
- Ensure high standards of attendance, punctuality, grooming, and student conduct.
- Monitor student engagement and take timely corrective action.
- Lead ABIs/JBIs in maintaining discipline and batch standards.
- Handle student and parent communication where required.
3. Student Development & Employability
- Drive student readiness for WIP/SIP internships and final placements.
- Monitor mock interviews, aptitude, communication, and skill development.
- Track student performance and ensure timely interventions.
- Work closely with the placement team to improve student readiness.
4. Mentoring & Student Intervention
- Ensure effective execution of mentoring plans.
- Monitor student-level concerns, escalations, and interventions.
- Ensure critical student issues are acknowledged and closed within defined timelines.
5. System & Information Governance
- Act as the central information and coordination point for the batch.
- Ensure timely communication between students, faculty, administration, and leadership.
- Monitor ABI/JBI reporting and operational compliance.
- Identify bottlenecks and escalate issues appropriately.
6. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with HODs, faculty, placement, administration, and leadership.
- Act as the student-facing "client" for administrative services such as hostel, transport, and food.
- Track service issues and ensure closure through appropriate escalation.

Role Boundaries
The BI will not be directly responsible for:
- Faculty hiring or capability building
- Generating placement opportunities
- Research output
- Marketing and admissions
- Direct execution of administrative functions
However, the BI is responsible for tracking, escalating, and ensuring closure of issues that impact students.

The BI is expected to maintain a regular dashboard covering:
- Attendance trends
- Discipline and engagement
- Timetable adherence
- Academic delivery variance
- Mentoring status
- Student complaints and escalations

Ideal Candidate Profile
Background
- Academic and/or operations management experience
- Experience managing large teams or complex service environments
Experience
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in education, student operations, academic administration, large-scale service operations, or similar environments preferred
