Role Description
This full-time on-site role, based in Kozhikode, is for an Academic Counselor. The Academic Counselor will provide guidance and support to students in identifying academic and career paths, addressing course selection, and navigating challenges. Responsibilities include advising students, coordinating academic support services, and assisting with enrollment processes. The counselor will also conduct orientations, facilitate workshops, and create strategies to enhance student success and retention.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in academic counseling, career guidance, and student support services
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust and connections with students
- Organizational and planning abilities to manage student schedules and support initiatives
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address academic and personal challenges effectively
- Familiarity with educational programs, learning technologies, and career planning resources
- Experience in working within an academic or student-focused environment
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field
- Knowledge of industry trends in media and communication is an advantage
