Job Title: AC Technician Experience: 3 to 5 Years Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or related field Location: kundrathur, Chennai Salary: As per company standards Job Summary We are seeking an experienced AC Technician responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems. The candidate should have strong technical knowledge of different AC systems and be capable of diagnosing and resolving issues efficiently while ensuring customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Installation & Setup Install air conditioning systems including VRF, Split AC, Cassette AC, Ductable AC, and Package Units . Ensure proper placement, electrical connections, piping, and system configuration during installation. Test installed systems to ensure efficient operation. Maintenance & Servicing Perform routine maintenance and periodic servicing of air conditioning systems. Clean AC units, evaporator and condenser coils, filters, and drainage systems. Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance. Troubleshooting & Repairs Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration faults in AC systems. Repair or replace faulty components such as compressors, motors, capacitors, thermostats, and control systems. Troubleshoot electrical issues and ensure safe system operation. Refrigerant Handling Handle refrigerants safely according to environmental and safety regulations. Check refrigerant levels, detect leaks, and perform refrigerant charging or recovery. System Inspection Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues. Ensure all systems comply with safety and operational standards. Customer Service Communicate with clients regarding system issues, repairs, and maintenance requirements. Provide guidance on proper AC usage and maintenance tips. Maintain professionalism and ensure customer satisfaction. Documentation & Reporting Maintain service reports and records of maintenance and repairs. Report major issues or equipment failures to supervisors. Required Skills Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and components Experience with VRF, Split, Cassette, and Ductable AC systems Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Basic electrical knowledge Ability to work independently and in teams Good communication and customer service skills Preferred Skills Knowledge of HVAC tools and diagnostic equipment Experience in commercial and residential AC systems
