The Department of Finance and Accounting within the College of Business at Abu Dhabi University invites applications for full-time Assistant Professors in Accounting for Fall/Autumn 2025. Position Overview

We are seeking academically qualified and experienced candidates who are passionate about teaching and research in the field of accounting. Ideal applicants will demonstrate strong scholarly potential, excellence in teaching, and a commitment to academic service.

We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in high-demand and emerging areas of accounting, including:

• Financial Reporting and Analysis

• Data Analytics and Emerging Technologies in Accounting

• Auditing and Assurance in a Digital Environment

• International and Comparative Accounting

• Public Sector and Nonprofit Accounting

• ESG Reporting and Integrated Reporting

Candidates should be able to engage students through innovative, technology-enhanced instruction and contribute to the development of programs aligned with international standards and industry practices.

Responsibilities: The successful candidates will be expected to:

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate accounting courses across a range of core and specialized areas.

• Engage in high-quality research leading to publications in peer-reviewed journals.

• Supervise student research, capstone projects, and theses.

• Contribute to curriculum design and program development, especially in response to emerging trends such as data analytics in accounting and digital tools.

• Participate actively in academic service, including committee work and institutional development initiatives.

• Build connections with the professional and business community to enhance the relevance and impact of the accounting program.

Qualifications: Candidates must possess:

• A Ph.D. in Accounting or a closely related field, preferably from a university accredited by AACSB, EQUIS, or listed in the top 200 global rankings.

• A strong record of or potential for quality research and scholarly publications.

• Demonstrated teaching effectiveness at the university level.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience teaching a broad portfolio of accounting courses.

• Familiarity with integrating accounting analytics or relevant software tools into the classroom.

• Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA.

• Prior experience in online or blended learning environments.

• Industry experience in accounting, auditing, or financial reporting.
