Security Engineer

We're looking for a Security Engineer to join our growing Security team. In this role, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining the security infrastructure that protects Abnormal and our customers. You'll work closely with our Engineering, Product, and Security teams to ensure that our systems and applications are secure, scalable, and reliable. Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and maintain secure network architectures, including firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs. - Develop and deploy secure authentication and authorization mechanisms for our cloud-based applications. - Implement and monitor security controls to detect and respond to security incidents. - Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities. - Contribute to the development of security policies, standards, and procedures. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of our software development lifecycle. Requirements: - 3+ years of experience in a security engineering or IT security role. - Strong understanding of network security, including firewalls, VPNs, and network segmentation. - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or Rust, and experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or Ansible. - Familiarity with cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, data encryption, and security monitoring. - Experience with security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and incident response platforms. - Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills. - Strong communication and collaboration skills.
