About the role

Description

The HR Specialist will serve as a point of contact for employees with HR, benefits, and recruitment questions. The HR Specialist will provide administrative assistance to the HR Department as needed.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Under supervision, manage the full-cycle recruitment process including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Assist in conducting new hire orientations and benefit orientations.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain and update employee records and HRIS data with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Support performance review processes and employee development initiatives.
  • Assist in driving employee engagement through communications, recognition, and retention programs.
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives that align with company goals.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, preferred.
  • 3+ years of recruiting experience.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR practices, particularly Texas state regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to build trust at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient with Google Suite and HRIS systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
