About the Role
The ABB 800xA Application Test Engineer will be responsible for performing 800xA application testing, executing test cases, and reporting defects while working within an Agile methodology.
Responsibilities
- Perform 800xA application testing, execute test cases, and report defects
- Agile methodology (working knowledge/experience)
- Develop and configure AC800M logic using Control Builder M
- Work on alarms, events, logs, trends, and graphics (PG2) in 800xA
- Support 800xA installation in domain/workgroup environments
- Handle basic Windows configuration (users, firewall, group policy)
- Work with networking basics (switches, routers)
- Use and troubleshoot industrial protocols (Profibus, HART, Profinet, Modbus)
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Instrumentation Engineering (EIE)
Required Skills
- 3 - 6 years of experience
- Proficiency in 800xA application testing
- Knowledge of Agile methodology
- Experience with AC800M logic and Control Builder M
- Familiarity with Windows configuration and networking
- Understanding of industrial protocols
