<strong>Position Overview<br></strong><br>
</div><div>The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a vital member of the clinical team who provides high‑quality, evidence‑based behavioral intervention services to autistic children under the close supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). RBTs implement individualized treatment plans designed to increase communication, social skills, daily living skills, and adaptive behaviors while reducing behaviors that interfere with learning.<br><br>

<strong>Key Responsibilities<br></strong><br>
</div><ul>
<li>Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment programs as written and supervised by a BCBA.<br><br>
</li>
<li>Deliver 1:1 direct therapy in home, clinic, school, or community settings.<br><br>
</li>
<li>Use evidence‑based teaching procedures such as Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Natural Environment Teaching (NET), task analysis, shaping, and prompting hierarchies.<br><br>
</li>
<li>Collect accurate, real‑time data on skill acquisition and behavior reduction goals using digital or paper‑based systems.<br><br>
</li>
<li>Follow behavior intervention plans (BIPs) with fidelity, including reinforcement strategies, antecedent interventions, and crisis‑prevention procedures.<br><br>
</li>
<li>Support the development of communication skills using AAC devices, PECS, vocal language, or other BCBA‑recommended systems.<br><br>
</li>
<li>Promote generalization of skills across people, settings, and materials.<br><br>
</li>
<li>Maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment.<br><br>
</li>
<li>Participate in ongoing training, competency assessments, and supervision sessions as required by the BACB.<br><br>
</li>
<li>Communicate professionally with caregivers, supervisors, and team members while maintaining client confidentiality.<br><br>
</li>
<li>Implement ethical guidelines consistent with the BACB’s RBT Ethics Code.<br><br>
</li>

<strong>Qualifications<br></strong><br>
</div><ul>
<li>Active RBT certification or willing to receive training and pass the RBT exam.<br><br>
</li>
<li>High school diploma required<br><br>
</li>
<li>Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly valued.<br><br>
</li>
<li>Ability to follow detailed instructions, accept feedback, and implement treatment plans consistently.<br><br>
</li>
<li>Strong communication, patience, and problem‑solving skills.<br><br>
</li>
<li>Physical ability to engage in play‑based activities, sit on the floor, lift up to 25 lbs, and move quickly during sessions if needed.<br><br>
</li>

<li>RBTs work closely with a supervising BCBA and participate in regular team meetings and training.<br><br>
