Role Description:
This is a remote, contract role for an AASM-certified Sleep Scorer. The Sleep Scorer will review and score sleep studies (polysomnography, home sleep tests) in accordance with AASM guidelines and internal protocols. Daily responsibilities include interpreting sleep stages, respiratory events, limb movements, and cardiac patterns, ensuring accurate documentation in the sleep reporting system. The role also involves collaborating with sleep technologists and clinical staff to clarify data, maintain quality standards, and support timely delivery of patient reports. The Sleep Scorer is expected to manage assigned caseloads efficiently, follow confidentiality and data security requirements, and participate in ongoing calibration or quality audits as needed.
Qualifications:
- AASM certification is mandatory (RPSGT, RST, or equivalent sleep-scoring credential).
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience scoring PSG/HST sleep studies according to AASM rules.
- Strong understanding of sleep architecture, respiratory events, arousals, PLMs, and EEG/EOG/EMG scoring.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills for interpreting complex physiological data, and commitment to accuracy and consistency.
- High proficiency in English (written and spoken) for communication with the clinical team.
- Familiarity with digital health tools and experience in remote diagnostic workflows is a plus
- Comfortable working with new technologies, cloud-based platforms, and remote workflows.
- Reliable internet connection and ability to work independently from home.
