About the role

Forge is building the world's first AI-native DevOps workspace, a unified environment that learns from every deployment, automates runbooks, and gives engineers superpowers. The position is fully remote. As a Forward Deployed DevOps Engineer, you will embed directly with companies, shipping infrastructure that keeps them moving fast without sacrificing reliability, best practices, or security. You will own green-field and brown-field infrastructure, designing, building, and operating CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), monitoring, and incident response. You will lead "day-zero" engagements, running a lightweight discovery in your first week on a new account, drafting a 30–60–90-day infrastructure plan, and driving executive buy-in. You will ship fixes instead of tickets, holding the pager, debugging outages, and pushing code that prevents future issues. You will level-up teams by pair-programming, running brownbags, and writing concise runbooks to help founders stay focused on product. You will create a feedback loop back home by capturing patterns from the field to improve internal tooling and playbooks.
