<div>We are seeking passionate and skilled English tutors to join our dynamic team at A Plus 1 Academy. Our tutors work with elementary-aged students (G1-G5) in both one-on-one and small-group settings, helping students build strong foundational skills in reading, writing, grammar, and communication while developing academic confidence.<br><br>
</div><div>This role is ideal for educators who are patient, engaging, and enthusiastic about working with younger learners. Tutors provide personalized instruction tailored to individual student needs during one-on-one sessions, while also facilitating collaborative learning and discussion in group classes. Our goal is to support students in becoming confident, capable learners in a structured and encouraging environment.<br><br>
</div><div>Responsibilities:<br><br>
</div><ul>
<li>Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons for students in both one-on-one and small group settings.</li>
<li>Teach core English skills, including vocabulary, grammar, reading comprehension, writing, and verbal communication, with a strong emphasis on phonics and spelling for younger learners.</li>
<li>Create fun, interactive lessons that actively engage students while encouraging critical thinking and skill development.</li>
<li>Use strong communication skills to clearly explain concepts, provide guidance, and support students with varying learning needs, including English language learners.</li>
<li>Develop and implement formative and summative assessments to gauge student learning and monitor progress.</li>
<li>Provide constructive, age-appropriate feedback to help students build confidence and improve academically.</li>
<li>Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation, curiosity, and respectful behavior.</li>
<li>Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain a structured and encouraging learning environment.</li>
</ul><div>Qualifications:<br><br>
</div><ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree from a reputable U.S. or U.K. university (required).</li>
<li>Experience working with younger students, including early childhood development or elementary teaching experience (preferred).</li>
<li>Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and in a timely manner with staff regarding student progress, concerns, or learning needs.</li>
<li>High level of attention to detail, particularly in monitoring student learning, growth, and improvement.</li>
<li>Patient, positive, and enthusiastic demeanor with a genuine passion for working with younger students.</li>
<li>Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the developmental and learning needs of individual students.</li>
