YOUR IMPACT
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager with
7+ years of expertise in managing safety, health, and environmental compliance at construction sites. The role involves ensuring a safe work environment, promoting sustainable practices, and driving compliance with Indian laws, company standards, and global HSE best practices. The HSE Manager will act as a leader and advisor to site teams, contractors, and management, ensuring zero harm and sustainability across all operations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical) or Science background with specialization in HSE.
- Diploma in Industrial Safety (recognized by State Technical Board) mandatory.
- NEBOSH / IOSH / OSHA certification preferred.
- 7+ years of HSE experience in large-scale construction, infrastructure, or real estate projects.
- Hands-on experience with high-rise, luxury residential, or commercial projects is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety Management
- Develop and implement HSE policies, site-specific safety plans, and emergency response procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and hazard identifications (HIRA, JSA, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with BOCW (Building & Other Construction Workers Act), Factories Act, IS Codes, National Building Code, and other Indian safety laws.
- Monitor and enforce PPE usage, scaffolding safety, electrical safety, and work-at-height procedures.
- Lead incident/accident investigations and ensure corrective & preventive actions are implemented.
- Organize safety inductions, toolbox talks, and refresher training sessions for employees and contractors.
Environment Management
- Monitor and manage waste disposal, dust suppression, noise control, and water management in line with Indian environmental norms.
- Ensure compliance with Pollution Control Board (PCB) guidelines and environmental permits.
- Promote energy efficiency, material optimization, and sustainable construction practices.
Compliance & Reporting
- Maintain accurate HSE documentation, including inspection reports, permits, and statutory records.
- Liaise with statutory authorities (Labour Department, PCB, Factory Inspectorate) for audits and clearances.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE performance reports for management.
Team & Culture
- Train, mentor, and guide site engineers, supervisors, and workers to build a strong safety culture.
- Collaborate with project managers, consultants, and contractors to ensure integrated HSE compliance.
- Drive “Zero Accident” initiatives and promote proactive reporting of unsafe acts/conditions.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Indian construction safety and environmental regulations.
- Proven expertise in risk assessment, incident investigation, and root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and training delivery skills.
- Ability to influence teams and contractors to adopt safe and sustainable practices.
- Strong reporting, documentation, and compliance management skill
