The Ninjamandi team is a large and diverse team which is trying to solve the problems in the Agri ecosystem with a Platform approach. At Ninjacart, our Commerce team is built on a strong network of underwritten destination traders, ensuring seamless and reliable trade partnerships. We specialize in sourcing premium-quality Pomegranates and Apples—both domestic and imported—connecting producers with markets efficiently.
With a commitment to excellence, transparency, and market expertise, we bridge the gap between growers and global buyers, delivering fresh, high-quality produce with consistency and trust.
We are looking for a Cluster Head - Sourcing – Pomegranate to manage procurement operations across Karnataka. The role involves extensive travel to key pomegranate-growing regions, engaging directly with farmers, traders, and aggregators to ensure the procurement of high-quality produce at the best prices. The ideal candidate should have experience in fruit sourcing, strong negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of local agricultural markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement & Sourcing:
- Identify and develop a network of farmers, FPOs, traders, and aggregators for pomegranate procurement.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of high-quality pomegranates.
- Negotiate prices based on market conditions, crop availability, and quality parameters.
Market & Farmer Engagement:
- Regularly visit farms and APMC markets to assess crop conditions, pricing trends, and supply availability.
- Build strong relationships with farmers to ensure a steady and reliable supply.
- Provide farmers with basic guidance on quality standards and post-harvest handling.
Operations & Logistics:
- Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure smooth transportation of sourced produce.
- Monitor and report on supply chain efficiency, procurement costs, and quality issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and food safety regulations.
