Position: HMI Design Engineer – ADAS (Parking Visualization) with 5+ years Experience
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Bangalore for an HMI Design Engineer specializing in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) for Automotive technologies.
HMI Design Engineer with 5+ years Experience in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) to develop and optimize parking visualization interfaces for automotive platforms. The candidate will work on high-performance graphical user interfaces for in-vehicle systems, focusing on real-time rendering, driver interaction, and visualization of parking assistance features.
The primary responsibilities include designing and developing Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) for automotive systems, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, utilizing CAD tools for product design, and ensuring designs are functional and align with project specifications. The role also involves ensuring compliance with industry standards, performing necessary testing, and making design modifications as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop automotive HMI interfaces for ADAS parking visualization systems.
Implement real-time graphics rendering using OpenGL.
Develop UI components and application logic using Qt framework.
Create intuitive driver visualization for parking features such as:
Surround view / bird’s-eye view
Parking guidelines
Obstacle visualization
Camera integration displays
Optimize graphical performance for embedded automotive hardware platforms.
Collaborate with ADAS perception, camera, and embedded software teams to integrate visualization features.
Ensure compliance with automotive UI/UX safety and usability standards.
Debug and optimize graphics pipeline performance for smooth real-time visualization.
Support testing, validation, and deployment of HMI modules.
Required Skills
5+ years Strong experience in C\ C++ development.
Hands-on experience with OpenGL / OpenGL ES for graphics rendering.
Experience with Qt / Qt QML for UI development.
Experience working on ADAS or automotive HMI systems.
Understanding of camera-based visualization and parking assist systems.
Knowledge of embedded Linux or automotive embedded platforms.
Experience with real-time graphics performance optimization.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Design Engineering and Product Design methodologies
- Hands-on experience in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering principles
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and software
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering discipline such as Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years Experience in automotive or similar industries, with a focus on ADAS systems, is an advantage
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
