4over and its family of brands continue to grow, and we are seeking a Junior Graphic Designer with a strong interest in print production and pre‑press execution. This is a hands‑on, detail‑driven role focused on preparing accurate, press‑ready files that meet strict production standards within a high‑volume print environment. While this role is remote, preference will be given to candidates located near one of our 4over production facilities to support collaboration and operational alignment.
Schedule: 1st shift, Monday - Friday, eight or more hours per day, five days per week based on business needs. Primary schedule will be 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, or similar.
Salary Range: $28.00 To 34.00 Hourly. Compensation commensurate with experience. At time, we are not engaging with agencies or third-party recruiters. Thank you for understanding.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Junior Graphic Designer will work closely with the Creative and Production teams to support layout execution, file preparation, and quality control across a broad range of print products. This role sits at the intersection of creativity and technical precision and is ideal for a designer who values accuracy, consistency, and high‑quality execution. Responsibilities include pre‑flighting files, ensuring production readiness, and supporting production design needs for marketing collateral, large‑format graphics, and custom print products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Production Design
- Assist with layout development and versioning for print materials, including large‑format graphics, marketing collateral, and custom packaging
- Execute updates efficiently while adhering to brand and production standards
Pre‑Press & File Preparation
- Review and prepare files for digital and offset printing
- Ensure proper bleed, trim, image resolution (DPI), font embedding, transparency handling, and file packaging
Color Management
- Prepare files accurately in CMYK and spot color workflows, including Pantone specifications
- Perform basic color corrections and image adjustments as needed
Template & Asset Management
- Assist in creating, updating, and maintaining production‑ready templates to support workflow efficiency
Quality Control
- Review proofs against job specifications to ensure accuracy prior to final production
- Be flexible and adapt to changes in the work environment in ways that help other personnel keep projects on course.
- Ability to communicate problems to management as they arise.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
- 1–3 years of professional graphic design experience, preferably in a print, production, or pre‑press environment
Adobe Creative Suite Proficiency
- InDesign: Strong working knowledge of styles, master pages, and packaged files
- Illustrator: Experience with vector artwork, pathfinder tools, and preparing files for die‑cuts or specialty finishes
Photoshop
- Proficient in masking, retouching, and converting RGB assets for print production
Print Production Knowledge
- Foundational understanding of print concepts, including:
- Bleeds, trim, and safety margins
- Overprint vs. knockout
- Key differences between digital and offset printing
- Basic familiarity with paper stocks, weights, and finishing techniques
Attention to Detail
- Strong ability to identify errors such as missing assets, low‑resolution images, incorrect color modes, or typography issues
ADDITIONAL SKILLS & EXPECTATIONS
- Responsible for designing within company standards, style, and branding
- Ability to work under daily deadline pressure while demonstrating strong design skills
- Strong collaborator who can work successfully with cross‑functional teams
- Strong project management skills with comfort navigating frequent change and short lead times
- Capable of producing a high volume of collateral under tight deadlines.
