Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram for a 4G/5G RAN Specialist. The role involves configuring, optimizing, and maintaining 4G/5G Radio Access Network (RAN) infrastructure to ensure high-quality mobile network performance. The specialist will analyze network KPIs, troubleshoot radio issues, and perform drive test data analysis to identify and resolve coverage, capacity, and quality problems. Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams on network design, capacity planning, new feature integration, and software upgrades. The role also requires documenting configurations and changes, participating in acceptance testing, and providing technical guidance on RAN-related topics to internal stakeholders and customers.
- 4G/5G RAN Operations & Support
- Tier-1 / Tier-2 NOC Operations
- Ericsson & Nokia alarm troubleshooting
- RAN KPI analysis and performance optimization
- Incident management and remediation
- Transport & Core Network troubleshooting
- Experience with ITSM platforms used in telecom NOCs
- Experience with RAN planning and optimization tools, drive test tools, and performance monitoring platforms.
- Ability to analyze network KPIs, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement parameter tuning for coverage and capacity optimization.
- Understanding of RF principles, propagation, and antenna configurations, including site design and configuration best practices.
- Familiarity with vendor-specific RAN solutions (e.g., Nokia, Ericsson, Huawei, or similar) and software upgrade procedures.
- Comfort with scripting or automation tools for repetitive network tasks (e.g., Python, shell scripting) is an advantage.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced certifications in mobile networks are a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, on-site environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and coordination with cross-functional teams and customers.
Preferred Profile:
* Hands-on experience in major telecom operators or managed service providers
* Strong troubleshooting and operational support background
* Ability to work independently in a customer-facing environment
