Medical Policy Program Manager

Under general supervision, leads the policy development process for the Iowa Medicaid Enterprise (IME) and State Supplementary Assistance programs. Serves as the Department's subject matter expert on Iowa Medicaid and State Supplementary Assistance program policies and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) requirements. Manages the implementation of state and federal policy changes into the IME and State Supplementary Assistance programs. Monitors federal and state legislative and regulatory changes that impact IME and State Supplementary Assistance programs and coordinates the analysis and implementation of policy changes. Provides guidance and training to IME and Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) staff on program policies and procedures. Serves as a liaison with CMS and other state Medicaid agencies to ensure compliance with federal regulations and policy guidance. Participates in the development of program integrity strategies and initiatives for the IME and State Supplementary Assistance programs. Responsible for overseeing and managing a team of policy analysts. This is a confidential, exempt position with a minimum of five years of relevant experience required.
