Role Description: The 3D Modeling & Printing Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Delhi, India. This role involves designing and creating detailed 3D models for architectural projects using software such as Blender, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, AutoCAD, and other relevant 3D modeling tools. The specialist will prepare print-ready files, ensure accurate, high-quality 3D-printed outputs, and optimize models for efficient printing.
The role includes operating and maintaining 3D printers and related equipment, managing print production workflows, and collaborating with designers, architects, and project managers to meet project specifications and deadlines. Daily responsibilities include refining designs for print feasibility, troubleshooting technical issues, performing post-processing and finishing of printed models, and maintaining organized documentation of print jobs and materials. The specialist is also expected to follow safety protocols, maintain quality standards, and continuously improve 3D printing processes and techniques.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Printing and Print Production for managing end-to-end 3D print workflows.
- Experience with Pre-press processes, including file preparation, optimization, and quality checks before printing.
- Knowledge of Print Design to adapt and refine 3D models and layouts suitable for various printing techniques.
- Practical experience with Bindery or finishing processes for assembling and presenting physical models professionally.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software (e.g., Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp, Rhino, or similar) and familiarity with common 3D file formats.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work accurately under project deadlines.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional design and project teams.
