Role Description The 3D Character Artist will be responsible for designing, modeling, and texturing high-quality characters that align with the visual style and gameplay needs of Inverted Button Studios’ projects. Day-to-day work includes creating concept-ready character designs, building detailed 3D character models, developing clean topology and efficient UV layouts, and producing textures and materials suitable for real-time game engines. The role involves collaborating closely with concept artists, animators, and game developers to ensure characters are visually appealing, technically optimized, and ready for animation and integration into the game. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Karnal, requiring consistent coordination with the studio team and participation in art reviews and production meetings.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Character Designs and Character Art, with a portfolio demonstrating diverse, expressive, and game-ready characters.
- Proficiency in 3D Modeling and Texturing for characters, including experience with topology, UV mapping, and creation of PBR materials.
- Understanding of Game Development pipelines and workflows, including integration of assets into real-time engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine).
- Experience with industry-standard 3D tools (such as Maya, 3ds Max, Blender) and texturing software (such as Substance Painter, Photoshop).
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, accept and apply feedback, and work within style guides and technical constraints.
- Strong observational skills, knowledge of anatomy, proportion, and character storytelling through visual design.
- Relevant education or training in 3D art, game art, animation, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Willingness to work on-site in Karnal and maintain reliable, full-time availability.
