- Retopology: Convert high-poly sculpts into clean, optimized low-poly meshes suitable for animation and real-time engines.
- Texturing & Shading: Author high-quality PBR textures using Substance Painter.
- Technical Specs: Ensure all models meet technical requirements for deformation, UV layout, and engine performance (Unreal Engine 5 / Unity).
- Collaboration: Work closely with Concept Artists to preserve artistic intent and Rigging Artists to ensure flawless joint deformation.
Technical Requirements
- Software Mastery: Mid-level proficiency in ZBrush, Maya (or Blender), and the Substance Painter.
- Anatomy: A profound understanding of human and animal anatomy, proportions, and silhouettes.
- Engine Experience: Familiarity with implementing assets into Unreal Engine 5.
- Portfolio: A strong link to an ArtStation or personal portfolio demonstrating a range of styles (stylized vs. realistic).
Preferred "Bonus" Skills
Knowledge of hair/fur grooming (XGen, Ornatrix).
Compensation & Commitment:
We are currently in the phase of development. This is an unpaid position for the initial months. In lieu of a salary, we are offering:
