Role Description The 2D CAD Designer role at THIRUVEESAR INDUSTRIES is a full-time, remote position focused on producing accurate technical drawings for engineering projects. The designer will prepare, update, and revise 2D CAD drawings based on project specifications, sketches, and design inputs from engineers. Daily tasks include creating and modifying construction and fabrication drawings, annotating and dimensioning layouts, and ensuring that drawings conform to relevant standards and client requirements. The role involves coordinating with project engineers and other team members to clarify design details, resolve discrepancies, and support design changes throughout the project lifecycle. The designer will also maintain organized drawing files, follow established naming and versioning practices, and contribute to improving drafting templates and workflows.
Qualifications
- Proficient in Technical Drawing and Drawing, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 2D drafting and documentation.
- Ability to create and interpret Construction Drawings, including plans, sections, and details.
- Understanding of Design Engineering principles as they relate to translating concepts into clear 2D drawings.
- Relevant technical diploma or degree in Engineering, Drafting, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Capability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and meet project deadlines.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with engineers and project stakeholders.
- Familiarity with industry standards, tolerances, and basic manufacturing or construction processes is an advantage.
