ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Develop new residential mortgage and home equity loans, cultivating relationships with realtors,
builders, attorneys, financial advisors and other referral sources.
• Actively participate in networking events, community outreach, and marketing initiatives to
generate new business.
• Conduct in-depth consultations with borrowers to assess financial needs and recommend
appropriate loan products.
• Gather, analyze, and verify borrower financial documentation to ensure creditworthiness and loan
eligibility.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients throughout the loan process, from application through
closing.
• Manage an existing loan portfolio, processing renewals and identifying cross-selling
opportunities for bank products.
• Structure loan terms in compliance with internal policies, investor guidelines, and regulatory
requirements.
• Work closely with Pre-Funding Manager, underwriters, processors, and closers to ensure smooth
timely closings.
• Monitor pipeline activity and proactively address delays or exceptions.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
• Active NMLS Mortgage Loan Originator license in applicable states.
• Strong knowledge of mortgage products, underwriting guidelines, and secondary market
standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Detailed oriented.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently to achieve goals and objectives.
Michael Paulman
• Proficient with loan origination systems and Microsoft Office Suite or related
software.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are preferred.
• A valid driver’s license.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITY:
• This position does not supervise employees.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
•
Bachelor’s degree preferred. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree 3-5 years of lending experience and/ or
in underwriting mortgages.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to concentrate and perform responsibilities by maintaining a constant state of focus and
mental alertness.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to communicate in person, through email or via telephone with customers and staff
members.
• Ability to sit or stand for an extended period.
