Full Stack Engineer

As a Full Stack Engineer (MERN Stack) at 16VC’s Venture Studio, you’ll play a key role in building and scaling multiple early-stage startups. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying web applications using the MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js) stack, working closely with product managers, designers, and founders.

• Develop & maintain scalable web applications using MERN stack.
• Collaborate with product teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Design and develop RESTful APIs for seamless front-end and back-end integration.
• Optimize application performance and ensure high availability and security.
• Implement responsive UI/UX using React.js and modern front-end frameworks.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, following best practices.
• Troubleshoot & debug issues to ensure a seamless user experience.
• Deploy and manage applications using cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning and code reviews.

✅ 3+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer, preferably in startups or venture studios.

✅ Proficiency in MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js).

✅ Experience building scalable REST APIs and working with GraphQL (optional but a plus!).

✅ Strong understanding of database design (MongoDB, SQL, Firebase, or similar).

✅ Familiarity with state management tools (Redux, Context API).

✅ Experience with cloud services (AWS, Firebase, DigitalOcean, or similar).

✅ Knowledge of DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines) is a plus.

✅ Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile startup environment.

✅ Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

✅ Excellent communication skills and experience in remote collaboration.
