The Capacity Planning, Allocation & Fulfillment Analytics role is responsible for translating demand plans into executable fulfillment strategies across the florist network. This role owns shop-level capacity planning, monthly order allocation, geographic coverage analysis, same-day performance optimization, and fulfillment quality reporting. The position serves as a key cross-functional team lead across to ensure our local network is prepared to meet service, cost, and customer experience goals during both business-as-usual periods and peak holidays.
This individual will act as the operational bridge between forecast, florist readiness, allocation strategy, and live execution. During holiday periods, the role will serve as a control-tower leader, helping manage order distribution, capacity constraints, zip-code level interventions, and real-time issue resolution across the network.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end florist network capacity planning by shop, market, delivery date, product, and holiday period.
- Translate top-line demand forecasts into daily delivery projections and track and manage to the plan, leveraging different strategies to manage capacity
- Influence the order allocation process, balancing florist ratings, cost-to-fulfill, service quality, capacity, and geographic coverage.
- Analyze zip-code and shop coverage profiles, including delivery distance, performance, and economics, to identify underperforming geographies for pruning, throttling, reassignment, or expansion.
- Evaluate same-day fulfillment performance by shop and geography, and recommend actions to improve service levels, reduce defects, and optimize where same-day volume should flow.
- Develop clear shop- and geography-level scorecards that support operational decisions on allocation, shop development, suspension, and network optimization.
- Partner with Merchandising and Planning teams to ensure promotional, assortment, and demand changes are reflected early in projections and capacity plans.
- Support overall network design and market analysis, including identification of coverage gaps and opportunities to improve performance across the florist network.
- Serve as a holiday control-tower leader by helping manage allocation shifts, zip-code level flex and surcharge actions, and rapid response to capacity, florist, weather, systems, or customer-impact issues.
- Lead post-holiday and post-event reviews to identify root causes, process gaps, and improvement opportunities for future periods.
