About the role
We are seeking a talented and visionary Head of Fashion Designer to lead our design team, shaping the creative vision for our brands.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Define and drive the overall design direction for the fashion brands.
Collaborate with senior management to align creative strategies with brand goals and market trends.
Design Oversight:
Lead the design team in creating seasonal collections, ensuring they align with brand identity, customer preferences, and market demands.
Oversee the development of mood boards, sketches, fabric selection, and prototypes.
Ensure design consistency across all product categories and channels.
Team Management:
Mentor and manage a team of fashion designers, fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
Market Research:
Monitor global fashion trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to inform design decisions.
Attend fashion shows, trade fairs, and industry events to stay ahead of trends.
Collaboration:
Work closely with merchandising, production, and marketing teams to ensure designs are feasible and meet business objectives.
Partner with suppliers and manufacturers to source materials and ensure production quality.
Budget Management: Manage the design department's budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in fashion design, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of fashion trends.
Proven ability to manage and inspire a design team.
Excellent knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, and production processes.
Exceptional communication, organizational, and project management skills.
