🔧 What You'll Actually Do
You won't be building CRUD apps. You'll be building AI-native platforms — think clinical decision support, intelligent LMS engines, and enterprise AI deployments that run on-premise, not in someone else's cloud.
- Design and build full-stack applications with AI/ML pipelines baked in — not bolted on
- Develop backend services using FastAPI / Django with async architectures
- Build and optimize RAG pipelines — vector search, chunking strategies, hybrid retrieval (GraphRAG, Agentic RAG)
- Integrate and serve LLMs via vLLM, AWS SageMaker, or Amazon Bedrock
- Implement MCP (Model Context Protocol) integrations for tool-use and agentic workflows
- Fine-tune open-source models (LoRA/QLoRA) for domain-specific tasks — healthcare, education, compliance
- Build responsive frontends with React / Next.js that surface AI capabilities cleanly
- Work with multi-agent orchestration architectures — routing, state machines, human-in-the-loop oversight
- Ship production code with proper testing, CI/CD, and documentation
🛠️ What You Bring
Must-Have:
- Strong Python — not just scripting, but systems-level backend development
- Experience with at least one of: FastAPI, Django, Flask
- Working knowledge of LLM integration — prompt engineering, embedding models, retrieval-augmented generation
- Proficiency in React (or Next.js) for frontend
- Database fluency: PostgreSQL + MongoDB (vector DB experience like Qdrant/Milvus/Pinecone is a plus)
- Git, Docker, basic Linux — the fundamentals done well
- RESTful API design and microservices patterns
Strong Plus:
- Hands-on experience with AWS SageMaker, Bedrock, or Lambda for ML workloads
- LLM fine-tuning experience (Hugging Face Transformers, PEFT, LoRA)
- Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or agentic tool-use patterns
- Experience serving models with vLLM, TGI, or Triton
- Knowledge of healthcare compliance (HIPAA) or EdTech platforms
- Multi-agent system design — orchestration, routing, state management
