💼 Role Overview
Mastercard is hiring a BizOps Engineer I to join its Cloud Operations team. This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy working in production environments, handling incident management, monitoring infrastructure, and ensuring system reliability.
You will play a key role in maintaining operational excellence and supporting mission-critical systems used globally.
🛠 Key Responsibilities
As a BizOps Engineer, You Will
- Work in 24x7 shift operations
- Monitor infrastructure health using monitoring tools
- Handle incident response and troubleshooting
- Manage escalations following defined procedures
- Communicate effectively through tickets, calls, and incident updates
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve recurring issues
- Ensure SLA compliance and operational stability
- Maintain runbooks and operational documentation
- Ensure smooth shift handovers
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports
🎯 Required Skills & Qualifications
🔹 Core Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ownership mindset for production systems
- Experience with incident management and production support
- Understanding of infrastructure and application monitoring
🔹 Cloud & Systems Knowledge
- AWS: EC2, VPC, S3, ELB, IAM
- Linux:
- Commands: vi/vim, netstat, ps/top, free, dstat
- Filesystems, fstab, disk management
- SELinux, sudo, audit logging
- Performance tools: sar, vmstat, iostat
🔹 Good-to-Have Skills
- Monitoring tools: Dynatrace, Splunk
- Container tools: Docker, Kubernetes
- Basic scripting knowledge
- Networking fundamentals:
- TCP/UDP
- SSL certificates
- HTTP/HTTPS, SSH, FTP, SFTP
