I’m building an early-stage product in the startup–investor ecosystem and looking for a Web Scraping Specialist (Intern) who actually enjoys solving difficult scraping problems.
Role: Web Scraping Specialist / Web Scraping Engineer (Unpaid, Remote)
What you’ll work on:
- Scraping complex websites with dynamic content, logins, pagination and basic anti‑bot protections
- Writing robust scripts to collect startup, founder and investor data at scale
- Cleaning and structuring data into CSV / databases / Google Sheets
- Automating recurring scrapes and fixing issues when sites change
You’re a good fit if you:
- Are comfortable with Python and tools like Requests, BeautifulSoup, Selenium, Playwright or similar
- Have already built 1–2 real web scraping projects (GitHub/repo or examples)
- Think in terms of respectful, maintainable scraping (rate limiting, retries, error handling)
- Want a serious, real‑world project to add to your portfolio
This is an unpaid internship at an early‑stage startup, but you will get:
- Real experience on non‑trivial scraping challenges
- Internship certificate and strong proof‑of‑work
- Close collaboration with the founder and data team
