BIM MEP Manager – Job Description

Job Summary
FIST Engineering Solution is seeking an experienced BIM MEP Manager to lead the planning, implementation, and management of BIM processes for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in BIM, proven leadership skills, and experience delivering high-quality BIM projects for GCC and Australian clients while managing multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage BIM execution for MEP projects from project initiation to completion.
- Develop, implement, and maintain BIM standards, workflows, templates, and best practices.
- Prepare and review BIM Execution Plans (BEP), project-specific BIM protocols, and delivery strategies.
- Manage and mentor BIM Coordinators, BIM Engineers, and BIM Modelers.
- Ensure timely delivery of BIM models in accordance with project schedules and client requirements.
- Review MEP models to ensure compliance with LOD 300, LOD 350, LOD 400, and LOD 500 requirements.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure model accuracy, constructability, and adherence to company standards.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary models using Navisworks and resolve clashes with Architecture and Structural teams.
- Monitor project progress, resource allocation, and team productivity.
- Participate in client meetings and technical coordination meetings.
- Develop BIM content, Revit families, templates, and libraries for project efficiency.
- Implement BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) for model collaboration and document management.
- Support 4D and 5D BIM integration when required.
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting to project teams.
- Stay updated with the latest BIM technologies, Autodesk tools, and industry standards.
Required Skills
- Expert knowledge of Autodesk Revit MEP.
- Strong proficiency in Navisworks Manage for clash detection and coordination.
- Experience with BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
- Good understanding of LOD standards (300/350/400/500).
- Experience in Revit Family Creation and Family Management.
- Knowledge of MEP design principles and construction documentation.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and related Autodesk software.
- Experience with Dynamo, Synchro 4D, or CostX is an added advantage.
- Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in BIM MEP projects.
- Experience working on GCC and Australian projects is mandatory.
Preferred Skills
- Experience managing multiple BIM projects simultaneously.
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to establish BIM standards and improve project workflows.
- Experience training and mentoring BIM teams.
- Knowledge of ISO 19650 and international BIM standards is preferred.
